While checking my feeds yesterday morning I was pleasantly gifted with the news of a new Nokia N95 firmware release. After a quick glance at the story I did what any other proud N95 owner would do, drop everything to retrieve my Nokia USB charger and data cables and promptly upgrade my phone.

Ever since I got my Nokia N95 I was on the lookout for a great theme for a great phone; While there are heaps of themes available at many sites the majority of theme are just plain awful. Call me crazy but I want a theme that looks nice and clean and I want it to show that the creator had some pride in their work, changing the wallpaper to a scantily clad female just doesn't won't cut it.

So I eventually stumbled across two such themes; Saku by Ivanov and Spirit by Ivanov.

I just came across this wonderful nugget of information on Mess.be, it appears there is a  Windows Live package available for Symbian S60 v3 phones, which of course includes the Nokia N95 itself.

As I've been waiting for this exact product I promptly downloaded, installed and had a quick play with this application and my first impression is 'Wow'.

I wasn't certain if it was worthwhile posting this as it is posted on nearly every Nokia N95 related blog, but I guess that is the way of the blogosphere.

According to the Symbian-Guru blog it looks as if we should expect a new N95 Firmware in the near future. Apparently the only known change is the addition of the A-GPS standard which increases the speed of the GPS lock-on and apparently allows you to get a lock-on while inside a building.

From the minute I read up about the Nokia N95 to the minute I got the phone WiFi was definitely one of the most anticipated features for myself. Unfortunately for myself, and some others, I experienced constant WiFi dropouts.

Yesterday while checking the N95 discussion on the Whirlpool Forums I came across a solution which thankfully solved my problem. All you need to do is turn of the WiFi Powersave feature on your phone, to do so do the following:

Back in April I blogged about the Nokia N95 and other phones that I had considered in my search for a new phone, one of the phones on my list was the Zenum Opus. While the Opus has always looked like a bit of a non-event, it looks like something may finally be happening.
