I checked my email this morning before heading of to work and I was greeted that wonderful email. To be honest I was a bit dubious about it's legitimacy at first as it was sent from an obscure Hotmail address, genuine it was.

I've been a fan of portable apps for a long time, I use at least two to three portable apps every day. Portable apps are applications that can run from a USB key on any machine without installation or leaving any information on the host machine. This morning when I went to check out the latest news on NewsGator Online I was presented with the option to test out the new NewsGator Online Beta. Being the early adopter sort that I am how could I pass up a Beta?

I have to say it's a huge improvement; a nice new clean and simple design, vastly improved speeds and usability, a few extra features including the ability to send news links via IM and many more improvements.
